Oh…is this Savings I hear with passes??

It’s been a while since I wrote about our friends over at Reebok Spartan Race. This year I wasn’t able to participate due to a crazy running schedule and helping out with a start up company. I just got news that there will be 3 types of passes for this year and it looks like the cost savings will definitely be worth it!!

 

Elite Pass

The big awesome one! You’re guaranteed race entry to all the races except for the heats. This must be the best offer I have heard of since each race will cost you! On their web site this is what it shows.

What you get:

• Unlimited Racing during the Calendar Year (2017)
• Free Spectator Pass
• Free Bag Check
• Guaranteed Entry to all events (not guaranteed heat)
• Multi-Lap Discount
• Valid on all Continental US & Hawaii Events
• Valid for ALL heats (Elite, Comp. & Open)

Of course this will be only worth it if you’re pretty much running at least 8+ races a year which a lot of people do. For myself who’s just casual, not worth it for me at the time being. Maybe one day when I have enough funds! LMAO

Cost $826 (with fees) 

2017 SPARTAN TRIFECTA PASS

Oh yeahh…this ONE. This is the one. Good for EVERYONE. I don’t think I need to explain but this is the best option to complete a trifecta. I would HIGHLY recommend this to everyone who wants to start. Everyone I have spoke to who has done a “sprint” always does a Super…and eventually finishes a Beast.

What you get:

• 3 race codes, valid for calendar year (2017)
• 1 Spectator Pass (to be used with Race Code)
• Free Bag Check
• Valid for all heats (including Elite & Comp.)
• Valid for Continental US
• Race codes aimed at Sprint/Super/Beast, but can be used for ANY 3 events

Cost $309 (with fees)

OPEN SEASON PASS

Pretty much just like the Elite but you will not get into the race if it’s sold out. I would seriously go with Elite if you’re already spending this amount of money unless you know the exact races and you sign up TODAY. The last thing you want is to buy this but you’re unable to fund the races the suit what you want.

What you get:

• Unlimited Racing during the Calendar Year (2017)
• Free Spectator Pass
• Free Bag Check
• Guaranteed Entry to all events (not guaranteed heat)
• Multi-Lap Discount
• Valid on all Continental US & Hawaii Events
• Valid for OPEN Heats ONLY
• Upcharge for Elite (+$30) and Competitive (+$15)

Cost $671 (with fees)

I know what a lot of people will say about this deal, I can get this cheaper on groupon etc. That’s correct BUT remember with groupon you don’t get to pick and choose the races you want or the heats. Think of it like this, you can book a hotel at Priceline and it can be about 20% less but you’ll also get the room that no one wants. Believe me, I been there done that.

Your call but the absolute deal would be the Trifecta pass for the casual guy!!
